3 years into Meditation

🙋‍♀️ Hey Everybody! I meditate. I have been meditating now for almost 3 years… why? What’s so great about it?

Up until a month ago, this was a very private and personal activity…. I made my first post on how meditation has been a huge catalyst for change in my life.

Mediation is something I practice during the early mornings, the mid-afternoons, and in the evenings.

#meditation allows me:
🌾 to sit still, clear my mind, and let everything fall away
… for brief moments at a time, when in reality it seems all of our life is a noisy hustle.

🌾 to explore in brief moments whether I want to focus my mind on something specific, not focus on anything at all, or just simply remain aware of myself

🌾 to come back to a point of clarity
… for being a high achiever, I always have something brewing in my mind at all times of the day, and often going into meditations helps me come back to an activity with a clear point-of-reference

🌾 to not want for anything, to just exist, to be “empty”
… being empty of all the pressures and commitments that begets life

I was going to leave it at the above, but I realized after today’s mediation that I was reminded of something:

*** After every mediation, I have the clarity to find reminders of old and new inspirations, and today I want to share one that is near and dear. ***

“To know the way,
we go the way,
we do the way,
The way we do,
and things we do,
it’s all there in front of you.
But if you try too hard to see it,
you’ll only become confused.
I am me and you are you.

As you can see;
but when you do
the things that you can do,
you will find the way.
The way will follow you.

– from “The Tao of Pooh”.
